Andrea is a Professional Support Lawyer at LexisNexis, specialising in environmental law. She has a background in contaminated land and environmental insurance, and a Masters degree in waste management. She qualified in 1997 at Browne Jacobson and later worked in the Environment and Planning team at SJ Berwin, before moving in house to work as Senior Solicitor at Certa (UK) Ltd. More recently Andrea has worked as a legal consultant, completing projects for blue chip companies. Andrea is an active member of the UK Environmental Law Association.

Alison is a Professional Support Lawyer at LexisNexis, specialising in Technology law. She trained at Pinsent Masons, qualifying in 2004, where she worked in their Technology team advising major retail and commercial sector companies on a diverse range of matters dealing with contentious and non-contentious IP, IT, Outsourcing, Information Law and Commercial issues. She moved in-house, working as Senior Group Legal Counsel for Ericsson’s multimedia business unit, advising on legal issues arising in relation to its content management and delivery solutions and compression products. She advised development and sales units on the legal implications of new technologies and their sale through emerging and diverse business models, looking in particular at Cloud service solutions, digital rights management issues, cyber security and internet of things. She currently supports the Internet and New Technologies topics within the LexisPSL TMT module, including artificial intelligence, drones and autonomous vehicles.

Sarah worked in planning departments at several city firms, including SJ Berwin, Wragge Lawrence Graham and Norton Rose Fulbright, before joining LexisNexis UK in January 2017. She has experience of planning and compulsory purchase law and regularly advised landowners, investors and developers on all planning law aspects, with a particular focus on large-scale development, regeneration and infrastructure schemes. Sarah also has considerable experience conducting planning-related legal proceedings.
Ruth is a solicitor specialising in energy law. She has extensive regulatory and transactional experience in projects within the power, renewables and oil & gas sectors, both in the UK and internationally, and often with a project finance dimension. Her experience includes advising on electricity interconnector development projects, gas pipeline projects, power plant projects (including IPPs, wind farms and waste to energy plants), electricity trading (including on Grid Trade Master Agreements (GTMAs), and advising a power exchange on the development of standard documentations), energy M&As, energy sector privatisations, gas purchase and gas tolling agreements, and joint operations.

Ruth trained and qualified at Dentons (including a six-month stint in their Moscow office), and subsequently worked at Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith Freehills and Ashurst. Ruth joined LexisNexis® in March 2020. She has written a number of articles which have been published in various publications.
Katrina is a paralegal in the LexisPSL Energy and Environment teams. She recently graduated with a law degree from Durham University, where she was a student member of the Durham Energy Institute and the UK Environmental Law Association. As part of her course Katrina also completed a dissertation entitled ‘Shareholder Primacy over Planetary Security: how the Companies Act 2006 fails to bring about corporate action in the face of climate change’, which has since been published in the Durham Law Review.
