Join us for the November Senior Counsel session where Sarah Griffin, a financial services lawyer and former Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the legal function at a global financial institution, will share her insights on how we can all act now to increase diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
Sarah will be sharing her insights on good practice and how to continue to make the legal profession inclusive in a changing and influential geopolitical context, looking at;
- how to increase awareness amongst in-house legal counsel of what inclusion in the legal profession means;
- to increase awareness of why we want to drive inclusivity in the legal profession;
- to increase awareness of practical ways we can, independently and collectively, make the legal profession more inclusive;
- attendees leave feeling motivated and able to act.

Sarah Griffin
Financial Services Lawyer and former Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Sarah Griffin is a financial services lawyer who has, over the last 15 or so years, spent time in the inclusion and pro bono spaces in the legal profession. Recently, she was the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the legal function at a global financial institution. Sarah has worked strategically to create and implement inclusion strategies and initiatives for in-house legal teams, with a strong focus on working collaboratively with law firms. She will be sharing her insights on good practice and how to continue to make the legal profession inclusive in a changing and influential geopolitical context.
Sunil Sehgal
Chief Counsel, Northern Europe at Mondelēz International
Sunil is the Chief Counsel for UK and Ireland at Mondelez International and is responsible for leading and supporting the business in all aspects of legal risk and compliance within UK and Ireland.
After spending 9 years in private practice, Sunil transitioned to in-house roles at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, where he spent 11 years in various legal positions. He later served as Public Affairs and Communications Director for the European Supply Chain. This was followed by 5 years at Belron International as Group Senior Counsel, before joining Mondelez in January 2021.
As a passionate advocate for DEI, Sunil has chaired the network of Employee Resource Groups at Mondelez UK and Ireland, and is a sponsor of the Race Relations Network, driving initiatives that foster a more inclusive and equitable workplace. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Sunil is dedicated to making a broader social impact. He serves as a trustee at Wakam for Good UK, an endowment fund that supports financially and psychologically vulnerable individuals through grassroots NGOs.
