Supporting Pro Bono work

LexisNexis has recently entered into an agreement with LawWorks to support the work of their member university pro bono clinics and demonstrate LexisNexis’ commitment to legal education and the Rule of Law. LexisNexis is offering every LawWorks university pro bono clinics a free subscription to the LexisNexis KnowHow service to support the work that they are doing in their local communities to provide free legal advice to those who cannot afford to pay for that advice or representation and where public funding is not available. The offer was formally announced by the Attorney-General, Baroness Scotland, at the Attorney General’s Student Pro Bono Awards held at the House of Lords on 24th April 2008.

LexisNexis® KnowHow provides up-to-date guidance written in plain English by a specialist team of solicitors and barristers to support busy practising lawyers. It consists of two practice areas, Dispute Resolution and Employment, and comprises 600 practice notes, checklists, precedents and our market leading current awareness service, KnowNow.

KnowHow is the only service of its kind to combine legal updates, practical guidance and precedents with click-through links to deeper research resources such as Civil Court Practice, All England Law Reports, Atkins, Harvey, Halsbury’s Laws and IRLR.
